As requested, the soundtrack for The Thing by Ennio Morricone has been reuploaded. If there are any other soundtracks that have broken links, feel free to inform me and I will fix it.

You can find the post here.

Small Changes

As you may, or may not, have noticed, I have changed the links for buying in recent posts. Instead of simply pointing to amazon, I have decided to utilize a website called “rate your music.” Among the many features of this website, one is the “buy this album” page for each album listing. On these pages, it lists several different stores and countries for buying the album as well as ebay listings for the particular album.

In general, this gives you a broader choice of options if you are interested in purchasing one of the albums I have featured on the blog. My suggestion is that you first of all check the Dusty Groove America website, which is full of interesting and unique albums on both cd and vinyl. Dusty Groove is an independent record store based out of chicago and has a great selection online.

Its great to be back and I hope to hear from you guys soon.

Filmtracks Returns!

After an inexplicably long hiatus, it is now time to return to a regular posting schedule. To make up for lost time, I’m going to do my best to rapid fire a few albums in the next couple days and then settle into a more consistent two or three album a week run.

Up first are a few more Lalo Schifrin soundtracks, and some new and interesting stuff is on its way, so stay tuned.

So things are still really busy around here, so until next week there will be no new posts. BUT!

I have stumbled upon another music blog that may tide you over till then. If you at all enjoyed any of these posts, then you might like this blog.

It’s called the “Vintage Library Emporium” and its amazing.

The link will be posted in the blogroll for future enjoyment.

Okay bye.

Filmtracks – Returning Soon!

I apologize for the long, unannounced hiatus, but I’ve been very busy (and a little lazy). But worry not, because very soon I will be returning with a vengance! Onward!

I just re-upped the soundtrack for Bullitt (1968) if anyone is anxious to grab that. Thanks to johndoe99 for the heads up. Stay tuned, there is more to come.

Holding Pattern

I apologize for the lack of posts as of late, I’ve been rather busy. There will be no posts for the next couple weeks as I finish my short film, work on the first 30 pages of my script, and continue working as director of photography on my friend’s film. I shall return with a flurry of posts to make up for it, posting the last two volumes of Jazz and Cinema, and beginning a series of Carter Burwell soundtracks. So stay tuned and I shall return.
